Pine Hills FC is an inclusive, modern, forward thinking, football club. Our drive for excellence has been recognised by FFA with our National Club Accreditation Level 2 Award. We are the first club in Brisbane to achieve this level of national accreditation.
Our club was formed in 1978 and will proudly be celebrating 50 years in 2028.
We welcome 17.9k visitors per year and currently maintain a base of 1,185 active players, and the “Super Duper 6s” summer carnival (over 8 weeks) brings an entirely new audience adding up to 700 additional participants to the Pine Hills FC scene. Our players range in ages from U6 to our Masters teams across Over 35s (O35), Over 45s (O45), and Over 50s (O50) age groups for both men and women.
Below, we have outlined the club's vision, mission, values and objectives. as well as our unique approach to being a strong community, football family. It is important for players, parents and family members to understand our values and determine if we are the right club for you.

We aim to help our members become great footballers, and also great people, who live out our values of Discipline, Humility and Respect.
We strive to create a positive and structured environment, that enriches all members, while being flexible to new and emerging footballing opportunities.
We aim to continue to grow junior and senior participation levels year-on-year by attracting new players to the game, while retaining existing players through our dedicated player pathway program.
Discipline - Controlled, focused and structured effort for ongoing development and improvement.
Humility - Modest, humble (not showy); recognise our limitations and value other’s contributions.
Respect - Recognition, consideration and valuing of others feelings,
beliefs and efforts.

A unified culture, pathway, playing identity, player model, and training methodology that shapes everything we do.
The Pine Hills Way is the foundation of our Academy and our club.
It defines who we are, how we behave, what we value, and how we develop players across every age group and program.
It connects five aspects of our club identity:
Together, these form one aligned system—on and off the field—that ensures every player can learn, grow, thrive, and belong.
We develop great players and great people.
We aim to help our players live out the PHFC values of:
Discipline | Humility | Respect |
We also strive to create a club community built on:
Belonging | Connection |
Kindness | Service |
Responsibility |
PHFC people are proud of their club, care about the community, and contribute positively to those around them.
The Pine Hills Person influences every part of our Academy program—from how players behave, to how they train, to how they represent our club.
Opportunities for every player, at every stage.
We provide a clear, inclusive pathway:
1. Kookas → MiniRoos → Community Teams → Development Teams → Academy Teams
2. QPL Men & Women / U23s
3. Metro Men & Women
4. O35 / O45 (Masters)
5. Coaching & Refereeing pathways
Every level is valued. Every player and official matters.
We have strengthened the pathway for our most advanced juniors through the Advanced Player Development Pathway, aligned with:
The LTAD | The Coaching Methodology |
The Player Development Continuum | The Pine Hills Playing Style |
The Six Pillars |
Our aim:
Home-grown players progressing into our senior teams (and beyond) year after year.
Aligned with the Six Pillars described in Section 1
The Pine Hills Player is built on six interconnected pillars:
These Six Pillars are not isolated—they are developed progressively across all LTADF stages and form the foundation of our age-specific training program.
A high-performance environment for every player.
Our coaching methodology reflects:
Play–Practice–Play | Short, sharp interventions |
Game-realistic sessions | Step Up / Step Down modifications |
Guided discovery & questioning | S.O.C.H.A.N.G.E.I.T. constraints |
Purposeful practice | Opposed practices wherever possible |
Player-centred | Positive and mistake-friendly |
Game-led | Aligned with the Pine Hills Playing Style |
Decision-rich | Connected to the Six Pillars and the LTADF |
The four core skills remain constant through all stages:
Across the pathway (increasing in U14-18), we focus on four game moments:
In Possession
Out of Possession
Training evolves from simple → complex across age groups, as players move through our pathway at PHFC.
Football Federation Australia: The overall aim of the National Club Accreditation Scheme (NCAS) is to raise standards and to recognise and reward quality clubs, which ultimately contributes to quality football experiences for players, volunteers and parents.
