The Pine Hills Referee Pool supplies mini roo, junior and
senior referees for games held at Pine Hills Football Club and provides a
supportive environment for junior players that have an interest in refereeing.
The benefits of
being a referee include:
- Get paid (tax-free) - we pay the same rates as Football Queensland
- Work with people who have similar interests
- Keep active
- Set your own availability
To apply to be a referee you must:
- Be at least 13 years old
- Obtain necessary accreditations
- Act responsbility on and off the field
- Manage your availability (via an app)
- Attend games punctually when rostered
Pine Hills Referees will be provided with a PHFC Referee
Shirt. You will need to bring your own
equipment (eg referees watches, whistles, cards and note book).
We aim to have a high-quality group of referees who get
regular work, and so we are always balancing bringing on new referees and
making sure the pool is not too big. At this stage, we have closed
registrations for junior referees (14 years and under). These numbers can change
so we are happy to place names on a waiting list and keep you posted on
opportunities.
Our area of particular need is referees for U13-U18
games and Senior Referees that can referee on Sunday's and/or mid week. We welcome any teenagers or adults with experience in the game who want to join the ranks and earn some extra money.
Training opportunities are held throughout the season and the PHFC Referee Coordination Team are available to support referees on their officiating journey.
If you are interested in being involved with refereeing,
please make contact through the referees@pinehillsfootball.com email.
