Tuesday June 16 @ Pine Hills FC (Field 5)- 6pm-7:15pm- U6-9 Coaches Education Session (run by Luke McKenna and Alan Gardiner). This is for all coaches of U6-9 teams at PHFC. Will help coaches organise sessions, manage player behaviour, run better sessions, enjoy the coaching experience more and develop players skills further. Will also demonstrate an example session for U6/7 and U8/9. (Coaches can bring their own children if they wish, and they will do a session with Technical Lead Kev Crawford.)

We encourage coaches to continue progressing along the Football Australia coaching pathway as they take on greater responsibility within the club.
This approach helps ensure all players receive age-appropriate, high-quality coaching aligned with the Pine Hills coaching methodology and player development philosophy.
As part of our long-term strategy to recruit, develop, and retain coaches, PHFC is introducing the Emerging Coaches Program.
This program aims to identify and support future coaches from within our own playing group and football community and provide a clear onboarding pathway into coaching.
The program is targeted toward:
U16 & U18 FQA Boys,
U17 FQA Girls,
U23 players,
Senior QPL and Metro Men & Women players,
Masters players, or
Parents with football experience who are interested in beginning their coaching journey.
Participants are assigned to one of our advanced junior teams as an assistant coach, allowing them to:
observe experienced coaches,
assist at training and games,
build confidence,
and gradually develop practical coaching experience within a supported environment.
All participants are supported to complete the Foundations of Football Course.
and also receive ongoing development sessions delivered by the Technical Director, Football Director, Technical Leads and senior coaching staff.
After a period of progression, coaches who demonstrate: strong engagement, coachability, leadership and coaching potential will be encouraged and supported to progress into the Advanced C Diploma Course.
PHFC intends to continue guiding these emerging coaches throughout the following 12 months of their coaching journey to help build confidence, capability, and alignment to the Pine Hills Way.
The Emerging Coaches Program also forms a key part of the club’s strategy to:
strengthen female coach representation,
build up and retain football knowledge within the club,
give people an avenue to contribute and give back to the club,
and create a sustainable internal coaching pipeline for future seasons.
In the case of inclement weather - advice on status of fields will be posted here no later than 4:00pm on the day.
